Overview

Filters and sorting help you focus on relevant items across any view. Filters hide items that do not match your criteria, while sorting changes the display order.

Filtering

Adding Filters

1

Open the Filter Panel

Click the Filter button in the toolbar, or press F as a keyboard shortcut.
2

Add a Condition

Select a column, an operator, and a value. For example: Priority is High.
3

Combine Conditions

Add more conditions and combine them with AND (all must match) or OR (any can match).

Filter Operators

Available operators depend on the column type:
  • is / is not
  • contains / does not contain
  • starts with / ends with
  • is empty / is not empty

Quick Filters

The toolbar includes quick filter buttons for common scenarios:
  • My Items — Show only items assigned to you
  • Due This Week — Show items due within the current week
  • Overdue — Show items past their due date
  • No Status — Show items without a status value
Quick filters can be combined with custom filters. For example, click “My Items” and then add a filter for “Priority is High” to see only your high-priority tasks.

Sorting

Single Column Sort

Click any column header to sort by that column. An arrow indicator shows the sort direction:
  • Up arrow — Ascending (A-Z, 0-9, oldest first)
  • Down arrow — Descending (Z-A, 9-0, newest first)

Multi-Column Sort

Hold Shift and click additional column headers to add secondary and tertiary sorts. The sort priority follows the order in which columns were clicked.

Custom Sort Order

Open the Sort panel from the toolbar to:
  • Add multiple sort columns explicitly
  • Drag to reorder sort priority
  • Choose ascending or descending for each column
  • Save the sort as part of a Saved View

Grouping

In addition to the default groups on your board, you can dynamically group items by any column:
  1. Click the Group By dropdown in the toolbar
  2. Select a column (e.g., Assignee, Priority, Status)
  3. Items are reorganized into groups based on the selected column’s values
Grouping does not change the underlying group structure of your board. It creates a temporary visual grouping that can be saved as a view.

Saving Filters and Sorts

To persist your filter and sort configuration, save it as a Saved View. Saved Views can be private (only you) or shared (visible to all board members). See the Saved Views guide for details.

Clearing Filters

Click the X next to any active filter to remove it, or click Clear All to reset all filters and sorting to the default state.
